State Disability Explained

State Disability
Every state within the United States maintains different regulations regarding disability income insurance and state disability benefits. It is important for an individual to understand the type of protection that is offered by his/her state. If his/her state does not offer extensive disability protection, such as temporary disability benefits, he/she may wish to consider protecting him/herself by purchasing disability income insurance.

New Jersey Disability
If a resident of New Jersey is suffering from a debilitating injury or illness, he/she may qualify to receive NJ disability benefits. These benefits will help to ensure that individuals have access to essential financial funds, in the event that they are not able to work and do not possess disability insurance. In New Jersey, individuals who are suffering from short term disabilities also have access to financial assistance.

California disability
In the event that a California resident becomes permanently or temporarily disabled, and is no longer able to work, he/she may be eligible to acquire CA disability benefits. In the state of California, individuals who work for the state are usually covered by disability insurance. If an individual is not covered by disability insurance, temporary or permanent disability benefits will provide disabled individuals with a disability income.
